New season 24 episodes of the CBS series “Big Brother” will air on Wednesday, August 17 at 8 p.m. ET. with the power of veto competition and on Thursday, August 18 at 9 p.m. ET with the live eviction, when a new twist will be introduced for the upcoming week on competition.
On Sunday, August 21 at 8 p.m. ET, there will also be a new episode, but instead of one new “Head of Household,” host Julie Chen Moonves announced that the house will be split into two groups of five contestants, where there will be two separate HOHs whose reigns will culminate in a double eviction on Thursday, August 25.
Those without cable can watch the series with DirecTV, fuboTV and Paramount+, which all offer free trials. Paramount+ also allows viewers to access the 24-hour live feeds to see what players are doing in between episodes, or perhaps even during them in the case of live eviction nights.
After 16 all-new houseguests entered the “Big Brother” house six weeks ago, 11 now remain, and they will continue to compete each week to become the next coveted “HOH” and try to keep themselves off of the chopping block in order to get one step closer to winning the $750,000 grand prize.
Spoilers ahead: Following the famous BB Wall Competition, themed as “Conspiracy Fest” replete with a “flat Earth” wall and tinfoil caps, Taylor emerged victorious as the new HOH in the test of physical stamina and fortitude.
As the Leftovers alliance holds power yet again for the now fourth consecutive week and as the competition has now officially entered the jury determination period, Taylor had to seek nominees outside of her alliance for eviction.
In doing so however, she also had to go back on her promises to Alyssa and Indy when they were in a “festie bestie” set that she would not nominate either of them if she won HOH.
While Taylor had the option to nominate Jasmine — another individual outside of her alliance with whom she has little to no strong affinities — staying true to her morals going into the game, Taylor promised not to nominate a fellow Black woman for eviction, even if someone like Jasmine would not do the same for her.
Thus, this left Taylor having to choose Indy, someone she is not particularly close with but with whom she had made a promise, to sit on the block next to Terrance, an ally of her evicted nemesis Daniel.
All the meanwhile showmances continue to heat up and flare up in the BB Motel, but will alliances become strained as a result?
Who will play in and win the veto competition, who will be sitting on the block on eviction night, and how will the house be split in the upcoming twist that will result in two separate HOHs? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
