Taking a standard road bike tire to 70psi in about 30 seconds, the Viair TLC Lite is just about small enough to fit in your glove box. But it packs a 100psi burst capability to help seat tubeless road, gravel, and mountain bike tires with the flick of a switch.

Designed for cyclists by cyclists, the Viair TLC Lite comes with a brass Presta valve chuck, 30-foot coiled hose, and 10′ power cord to hook into your car’s auxiliary power port. The handle includes a 120psi gauge with release valve and quick release connection, all for $159.99.

Once inflated, stick the small hose in the case and stash the gauge handle and coil hose in a cubby and you’re off to the races.

It’s not the smallest electric compressor pump we’ve seen, but it’s definitely the quickest portable option – about as quick as using a floor pump (after plugging it in, of course). For teams and mechanics, it’s definitely a more efficient option:

Then, if you’re a stickler for exact tire pressure, pair it with something like the Silca Truth Gauge or Topeak D2 Smartgauge.

If you’re headed off the grid to ride (or camp, or just explore), it’s often handy to deflate your vehicle’s tires for better offroad grip and comfort. But once back on the pavement, the Viair TLC Lite makes it quick and easy to reinflate for better gas mileage and reduced tire wear.

With a continuous run time of up to 6 minutes per tire, it’ll top off even the biggest off-road tires. And that extra long coil hose makes it easy to reach all four tires no matter where your power socket is.

We’ve got one headed our way for testing.

I have a VI Air unit for travelling. More car-based, but seems to be very high quality. This brand is at least sorta kinda the gold standard with Jeepers.
